Use case 02 · New & growing EVM chains

Block explorer for new EVM chains

A block explorer with your chain's name on it: token transfers, verified contracts and an API.

A front door to your ecosystem

An explorer is where people check a transaction, an address or a token. Give them one that carries your chain's name and colour palette, so your network looks like itself from the first search.

Tokens and verified contracts

Users can follow token activity and inspect contract details. Developers can upload Solidity or Vyper source and the explorer checks it against the deployed bytecode, compiling with the official solc and Vyper releases.

Storage matched to your chain

A young chain rarely needs the same storage as an established one. Keep a rolling window of recent activity, or index the available history from genesis, depending on your users, data availability and storage budget.

Data for builders

Wallets, dashboards and other tools in your ecosystem can read the same indexed records as the explorer through a read-only API. As new contracts and token types appear, decoding for them can be added from the retained raw data. Read the API docs (opens in a new tab)

What we need from you

  • Access to an RPC endpoint on your chain
  • Your network's rules and any custom transaction or token types
  • The name and colour palette the explorer should carry
  • Where it should run: hosted by BlockGaze or on your infrastructure
  • Whether to keep a rolling window of recent activity or the available history

See it for yourself

Try it on BNB Smart Chain

The same software your chain's explorer would run, keeping up with a busy public chain that adds a block about every 0.45 s.

Before we talk

What chain teams ask before launching

Can developers verify their contract source?

Yes, in Solidity or Vyper. Verified source then shows on the contract's page in your own explorer.

Do we need to index the full history from genesis?

No. The explorer can keep a rolling window of recent activity, as the BNB Smart Chain demo does, or index the available history, as FSNEX does for Fusion.

Can wallets and dashboards use the data?

Yes. A read-only API makes the indexed records available beyond the explorer.

Can new token types be decoded later?

Yes. Raw chain data is retained, so new decoding can be added without fetching everything from the chain again.
